GLAMIES began its debut in July 2024 in the Blue Ridge region of Virginia. This high school theatre awards program was created with an "arts program for all" belief. This program was developed to combine the efforts of both industry professionals and student peers.

About Blue Ridge Glamies
The Blue Ridge Glamies is a mission-driven nonprofit program dedicated to supporting and celebrating high school theatre arts in the Blue Ridge region of Virginia. Rooted in a belief in “arts programs for all,” the Glamies program combines professional theatre mentorship, peer engagement, and community recognition to elevate the educational and creative experiences of student artists. Through year-long enrichment activities, professional feedback, mentorship opportunities, and our annual awards gala, we foster artistic growth, creativity, collaboration, and confidence among participating students and educators.(Blue Ridge Glamies, Glamies Org.)
Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic, strategic, and mission-focused Executive Director to lead Blue Ridge Glamies into its next phase of growth. The Executive Director will provide operational leadership, strategic vision, program development, and community engagement to ensure the success and sustainability of Glamies programming, student mentorship, and the annual Awards Gala. This candidate would lead a regional program that celebrates and supports high school theatre in the Blue Ridge region.
Role Overview
This part-time leadership role focuses on planning and managing the Blue Ridge Glamies programs and annual awards event. The Executive Director works closely with schools, theatre educators, administrators, and students to coordinate programming, build partnerships, and ensure a successful season.
Key Focus Areas
• Event planning and execution for the annual Glamies awards and related programs
• Relationship-building with schools, theatre teachers, and arts administrators
• Communication with participating students and program partners
• Organizational leadership and program coordination
Work Structure
• Part-time position
• Seasonal workflow:

Busier during the beginning of the theatre season and awards preparation

Lighter administrative workload during off-season months
• Flexible scheduling with occasional evening or event commitments

Someone who enjoys event coordination, collaboration with educators, and supporting student arts programs.
This position requires a passionate leader with:

A strong commitment to arts education and youth mentorship

Experience in nonprofit management, event production, and fundraising

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with schools, partners, and theatre professionals
Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in nonprofit, arts education, or event management

Proven success in program development, fundraising, and partnership building

Strong communication and organizational skills

Passion for theatre arts, student leadership, and community engagement

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a board of directors

Experience with multimedia outreach and digital platforms preferred
